It has been almost 60 years since Papachristos family opened a bakery shop in Thessaloniki, Greece. Day by day, the store was gaining more customers from the other neighbouring areas. As time went by, we realized that this was meant to be just the start of estia’s 60-year successful storyline.

Although many years have passed since the opening of our first shop, our values remain the same. We are committed to provide products of exceptional quality that have been produced with care by our 350 specialized employees. We renew our industrial equipment so to make sure that our products are more up to date than ever and we know that by doing our best we can maintain a solid and honest relationship with our clients, like we always did. We are more than pleased seeing our stores growing and our company constantly evolving. With the contribution of our food technologists and the insights of the market, we are able to renew our products and be competitive at an international level.

EXPANSION IN GREECE
Since 1961 the estia family has grown. We have managed to open two production units to increase our productive capacity significantly. 
We have added more shops to our network and we feel proud for each one of our 20 stores, as they spread our vision for high-quality traditional Greek & Mediterranean food treats to a considerable number of clients in Thessaloniki, Greece and beyond. 
Strategic alliances have played a crucial role to our expansion. We collaborated with Diamantis Masoutis S.A. for the “store-within-a-store” concept, and now you may find an estia store in Grand Masoutis hyper-markets in Thessaloniki.

CURRENT STEPS
We are building our presence in the world in two ways.
First, we export frozen doughs, patisserie products & ice-cream in commercial bakeries and wholesalers in Europe.
Second, by building and supporting a strong franchise ‘estia bakery patisserie’ network in Greece, Europe & the world.
